
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at Pineywoods Quick Stop in Claremont. According to WBTV, the incident occurred earlier today, where the suspect, wielding a handgun, absconded with cash, cigarettes, and THCa flower from the convenience store.
Officials are urging the community to exercise caution, as the individual is considered to be armed and dangerous. It was noted by the Sheriff's office that the suspect fled on foot heading towards Balls Creek Road. The authorities are working to swiftly to identify and locate this person, and anyone with information is strongly encouraged to come forward. As reported by QC News, residents in the vicinity should be aware of the heightened risk.

The surveillance image was released by the Sheriff's Office through their Facebook page, showing the perpetrator during the time of the robbery. They hope that this visual aid will lead to a swift identification of the suspect involved in case #2024-002636.
