
The Austin Fire Department is investigating after a structure fire erupted in southeast Austin late Sunday night. According to CBS Austin, fire crews were called to a building on East Slaughter Lane near I-35 around 10:30 p.m. and found a single-story structure fully involved in flames.

Residents in the area were advised to keep clear while the fire department worked to extinguish the blaze. Sources from CBS Austin reported that the fire was out by around 10:45 p.m. The crews were seen to continue to perform searches of the building's exterior and interior, having tackled the fire within a short span after their arrival.
