Baltimore County emergency teams faced a grueling task earlier this morning as they worked to retrieve a body from the treacherous waters near Gwynn Oak Park. The recovery operation came on the heels of a report about a swift water rescue issued to the Baltimore County Police Department around 9:15 a.m. However, it wasn't until 11:45 a.m. that the rescuers were able to remove the male body from its difficult location safely.
The condition of the body confirmed the individual was deceased. Due to the rugged terrain and state of the body, officials quickly recognized the seriousness of the situation.
Baltimore County homicide detectives are now investigating, awaiting autopsy results to learn more. The identity of the deceased male remains unknown, according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.
