The county police quickly initiated an investigation after the threat was detected at around 9:31 a.m., as reported by the Baltimore County Police Department. The incident led to heightened security measures, with Dundalk High School and Sollers Point Technical High School shifting into a protective lockout status.

Precinct 12 officers in Dundalk were on the front lines, assessing the credibility of the online threat and working in coordination with schools to ensure the safety of students and staff. Officials have yet to release the suspect's identity or the threat's specifics.
