Last night, a young man aged 23 was shot in Baltimore’s Central District, marking yet another incident in the city's ongoing struggle with gun violence. The victim, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, managed to quickly find support and medical attention, according to the Baltimore Police Department. It was around 8:02 p.m. when patrol officers from the Northern District were called to an area hospital where the victim had walked in, seeking help for a gunshot wound to the buttock. The hospital reported his condition as stable.
The victim was on the 1800 block of Greenmount Avenue when the shooting happened. Detectives from the Central District are investigating the case and are asking the community for any information that could help them understand what led to the man's injury.
