The medical community in Arizona just got a little bigger, and it's all thanks to Banner Desert Medical Center. Recently, the healthcare provider announced a fresh initiative specifically designed for nurse anesthetist students looking for hands-on experience in pediatrics. This new registered nurse anesthetist specialty clinical program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to become certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA).
CRNA roles are crucial in healthcare, especially for younger patients, so the new program is highly anticipated. Nursing students will soon have a great opportunity for hands-on experience. Although Banner Desert hasn't detailed the curriculum or the number of students in the first cohort, the excitement is palpable.
As outlined in a news release from the Arizona State Board of Nursing, this program not only signifies a step forward in the training of nurse anesthetists but also ensures that Arizona's children will likely benefit from an increased number of well-trained anesthesia providers in the foreseeable future.
