Before Bellevue Utilities pitches the new budget and rates to the City Council on Sept. 24, community members must be clued in and have their say. If you're a stakeholder in this, this is the moment to engage. The City Council is set to review and possibly adopt the proposal in November, after considering the budget in depth, as per the City of Bellevue.

The Environmental Services Commission isn't just sitting back; the seven-member advisory panel has already had a crack at the proposed budget. They took public comments during a hearing on Sept. 5, and are now tasked with making a recommendation to the council about where they believe the budget should land.
