A fatal domestic incident in Bethesda has led to the arrest of 30-year-old Devon Miller, who is now charged with the killing of his sister, Shanon Marie Barnett. The Montgomery County Department of Police revealed in a press release, that officers responded to a call Monday night concerning a suspicious situation at Barnett's residence, arriving to find her lifeless body.
Following an initial alert to the MCPD Emergency Communications Center around 10:30 p.m., a frantic second call was made approximately 20 minutes later, this one was detailed as domestic-related Miller was soon taken into custody at the scene on Westlake Drive without incident, he’s now being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit as per officials.
Police have yet to disclose how Barnett met her tragic end. Details about the cause and manner of her death wait on an autopsy, to be carried out by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
