
A grim discovery was made early this morning when a man's body was recovered from the Piscataquog River in Manchester, New Hampshire. According to Boston 25 News, State Police Marine Patrol and Manchester Fire Department crews were called to Second Street at 7:58 a.m. following reports of a body floating in the river. The body of an adult male was removed from the water by the fire department personnel.
While the identity of the man has been retained, pending the notification of next of kin, an autopsy is scheduled to ascertain the cause and manner of death, as confirmed by state police. Floating in the water, the body was first spotted early in the morning, triggering a response from local authorities. State police have initiated a death investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
As per NBC Boston coverage, the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol division is currently investigating the situation. The spokesperson for the state's Department of Safety noted that an autopsy will be conducted. Even so, the exact circumstances leading to the man's death remain undisclosed at this juncture while the investigation is ongoing.
