A vehicle with a child in the backseat was stolen from the corner of Crawford and Warren streets in Roxbury just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, and both the child and the car were found safe a short time later in Dorchester. Boston police are now asking the public for help identifying the person responsible.
Detectives assigned to District B-2, which covers Roxbury, say the theft happened at 9:16 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, according to a community alert from the Boston Police Department. The vehicle and the child were subsequently located safely at the intersection of Draper and Bentham streets in Dorchester, the department said. As WHDH reported, officials are still working to identify the person who took the car.
