Bojangles, the Southern fast-food chain known for its crave-worthy chicken and biscuits, is aggressively expanding its presence in the Houston area with a new location slated to open near Baybrook Mall in Webster before year's end. The site, previously occupied by Genghis Grill, is undergoing refurbishments to welcome the growing number of biscuit aficionados, the Houston Chronicle reports. David Higgens, a partner with HTX Chicken which heads the Bojangles franchise group in the southeast Houston region, shared that landing the spot near the bustling Baybrook Mall complex represents a strategic move based on convenience and a diversifying food scene in Webster.
Meanwhile, another Bojangles location is gearing up to serve patrons along the Grand Parkway in Tomball, nestled within The Grand at 249 development. The choice of Tomball for expansion is motivated by the city's varied and dynamic culinary landscape, as explained by Stacey McCray, the brand's Vice President of Communications, who stated, "We know there’s a diverse and dynamic food scene in the Houston area, and we believe guests there are going to love the Southern flavor of Bojangles." The Tomball extension is anticipated to greet customers by the end of 2024, according to Community Impact.
Bojangles' rapid expansion isn't just limited to Webster and Tomball. Plans are also set for new openings in League City and Baytown. The League City establishment, however, is facing a longer timeline due to being a new construction, and is expected to welcome visitors in the first half of 2025. The driving force behind this aggressive expansion appears to be the chain's aspiration to double its footprint over the next few years, enhancing not only its corporate goals but also adding to the vibrancy of Houston's dining options.
Known for its distinctly Southern fare, Bojangles dishes out specialties such as handmade oversized biscuits, freshly prepared every 20 minutes, hand-breaded chicken, and their signature ice tea. In addition to their breakfast menu, customers can look forward to a variety of salads, milkshakes, and further breakfast staples, as reported by Community Impact.
