Adding to his impressive portfolio, "he graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Emergency Management from Waldorf University" in 2023. In his new role, Pierce’s expertise is further utilized in assisting with the city’s Emergency Management responsibilities, according to the City of Brentwood.

Similarly commended was Scott Barnes, a member of the Brentwood Fire team since 2009, who has nurtured a career in emergency medicine spanning about three decades. With a Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine under his belt, Barnes has significantly contributed as Assistant EMS Coordinator for 13 years. His recent promotion to Lieutenant-EMS Program Manager is indicative of the growing needs and nuances of the department's services, and the role has been custom-created to best utilize his extensive certifications and instructional expertise in life support and safety protocols.

On the flip side of seasoned promotions, the department extended a hearty welcome to its recruits. Zachary Brooks, a sports enthusiast and former special education teacher, joins along with John Peters, an Iowa native with paramedic experience, Kyle Spicer, a legacy firefighter from California, and Cody Jenkins, a Tennessean, turned Aerospace Medical Technician in the Air Force. Each brings a rich background from coast to coast, different shades of life, threaded by a shared commitment to service. Their varied expertise ranges from teaching to technical rescue, indicating the Brentwood Fire and Rescue's drive towards a diversely skilled team ready to face the multifaceted demands of fire and emergency response.
