Early Thursday morning, an accident disrupted the usual peace of Bridgeville when a car lost control, went down a hill, and made an unwelcome visit to the side of the Grandview Tower Condominium building. According to WPXI, this incident led to the closure of Grandview Avenue as emergency crews prepped for the removal of the vehicle.
The Bridgeville Police Department has confirmed that while the driver experienced non-life-threatening injuries, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear. In light of the event and its aftermath, traffic has been instructed to avoid the area entirely. Officials say the road will remain closed as heavy machinery and personnel work on-site to clear the mess.
Images circulating online show the aftermath of the crash, with the car lying on its side, having toppled part of a fence. Part of the building, including a damaged window, bears witness to the incident. These visuals were further detailed by WTAE, which also reported on the situation.
