Tragedy struck at Huntington Place Apartments on the evening of September 3 when Brooklyn Park Police responded to a distress call at around 9:26 pm, where they discovered a woman severely injured from an attack by her own three Pitbulls, as confirmed by the Brooklyn Park Police Department. The woman was found at the 5800 block of Zane Ave N, contrary to earlier reports that cited 73rd Ave N. The victim, whose identity has not been released, remains in a critical but stable condition at the hospital.

The scene was fraught with danger and urgency, officers at the scene provided immediate medical aid and after a Brooklyn Park Police Dept. report, determined that the dogs had belonged to the victim and her boyfriend, the cause of the attack was unclear, and during this violent event a security guard from Huntington Place was also injured while attempting to intervene. He sustained injuries to his left hand and in the process inadvertently harmed one of the three dogs, as detailed by the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

In the aftermath, authorities made the difficult decision to euthanize two of the dogs: one at the scene due to its aggressive behavior, and the second was put down later because of the extent of its injuries. The third dog is now under quarantine at a local animal shelter, awaiting further evaluation.
