A tragic UTV accident claimed the life of a Chicago man in Wisconsin over the Labor Day weekend, as reported by local authorities. Victor Navas, 52, was driving the UTV when it crashed into a ditch on the evening of August 31. The Juneau County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene around 8:45 p.m. in Necedah Township, finding three individuals involved in the incident.
Despite efforts to quickly provide aid, Victor Navas did not survive the ordeal and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to CBS Chicago, Navas, along with the rear-seat passenger, were not utilizing seat belts when the accident occurred. A front-seat passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while another was severely injured and faced life-threatening complications.
The reasons behind this grave accident are still unclear, with an ongoing investigation attempting to determine what caused the UTV to veer off and end up in a ditch. Details on the crash circumstances are scant, and officials are expected to continue looking into the series of events that led up to the fatal outcome.
WEAREGREENBAY reported that along with the lack of seat belt use, no additional information about the crash or factors contributing to it was immediately available following the incident.
