Tomorrow, Marysville's local beer aficionados are in for a treat with the return of the Yuba-Sutter Brewfest, courtesy of Sutter Buttes Social Club. The 11th annual Brewfest is set to feature a plethora of local hops and eats against a live musical backdrop at Bryant Field, starting at 1:00 p.m. for General Admission, and noon for those holding a VIP pass.
With over 35 breweries and 10 local eateries participating, attendees can look forward to a smorgasbord of unlimited beer tastings and culinary delights; the popular SwankMasters band will be dishing out eclectic tunes spanning decades, promising an atmosphere that's anything but flat. According to KCRA 3, Sutter Buttes Social Club president Chris Mathews highlighted that the fest not only pleases the palate but also serves a charitable cause, with a portion of proceeds benefitting underserved youth in the area.
For those who embrace the responsible side of revelry, Designated Driver Tickets are available for $25, ensuring non-drinking guests can get in on the festival action without the booze, and the clear wristbands they're provided with will signal to brewers their non-participatory status in the alcohol sampling; general admission includes the full range of beer and appetizers, while VIP ticket holders get early access, an exclusive shaded area, added gourmet bites, the event's single wine selection, and a custom Brewfest Koozie. Beer tastings come at no extra charge, which means attendees can freely flow between stands, sampling craft beers and ciders to their heart’s content—an approach that eschews the need for tokens or drink tickets, the Yuba-Sutter Brewfest website notes.
