In a perplexing display of familial violence in Chino Hills, a mother has been arrested for attempted murder following an incident that left both her and her son with multiple stab wounds, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reports.
The authorities were called to the scene on the morning of September 23rd, and upon arrival, discovered a 13-year-old juvenile and his mother, 52-year-old Yon Chu Pak, injured inside their home in the 14800 block of Avenida Anita; deputies rendered aid immediately until the Chino Valley Fire District personnel took over.
Chino Hills Police Department has taken over the investigation, revealing a grim narrative where, through various interviews and processing of the crime scene detectives learned Pak allegedly attacked her son before attempting to take her own life; both survived after receiving medical treatment at a local trauma center, whereafter Pak was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with insights into this harrowing event to step forward, with contacts available via the Chino Hills Police Department at (909) 364-2000 or through the confidentiality of the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78CRIME, as per the official press release from Sheriff-Coroner Shannon D. Dicus.
