Clay County residents with low to moderate incomes can now apply for home repair funding through the Community Development Block Grant Home Rehabilitation program. Applications are open until October 31, 2024. According to the official Clay County website, the initiative is designed to support homeowners in need of critical infrastructure repairs, including roof work, ADA accommodations, HVAC system fixes, as well as electrical and plumbing upgrades.

To facilitate the application process, the program is offering various opportunities for assistance. Homeowners can choose to quickly fill out an application online or attend one of the available public meetings at local libraries for personalized help. Prospective applicants also have the option to directly schedule an assistance appointment with the Housing Program Manager or a Case Specialist by calling 904-529-4256, as stated by the Clay County.

As per the community announcement, the staff will be available on set dates at the following Clay County Libraries to provide help with Community Development Block Grant applications and to field any related questions:

  • September 19 from 5 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at Orange Park Library
  • September 26 from 5 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at Middleburg Library
  • October 3 from 5 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at Fleming Island Library
  • October 17 from 5 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at Keystone Heights Library
  • October 24 from 5 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at Green Cove Springs Library
