Tragedy struck the 4000 Block of Blendon Grove Way this Thursday night when a shooting event unfolded, leaving one individual fatally wounded. According to a media release from the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded to a distress call around 9:34 pm on Thursday to find the victim suffering from a gunshot.
Upon arrival, officers secured the area quickly and attempted to duly render aid to the injured party. The victim, in critical condition, was transported by Columbus Fire Medic #29 to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the individual was pronounced dead at 10:30 pm. The report provided by Columbus Police does not yet identify the victim pending the notification of next of kin.
