
In a sad incident that has shaken the Columbus community, a 15-year-old boy, recognized as Micah Mobley, was tragically killed in a shooting on the northeast side of Columbus. According to the Columbus Division of Police, the event unfolded Thursday night in the 4000 block of Blendon Grove Way, as WBNS reports.
The call that led police to the scene came at around 9:35 p.m. Unfortunately, located west of Hamilton Road, the officers discovered a teen suffering from a gunshot wound. Mobley was hastily transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where his battle for life ended, and he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m., according to a report by ABC6.
Further compounding this tragedy, a 16-year-old boy, whose identity has not been disclosed, has been taken into custody. He is charged with reckless homicide as per the ensuing investigation. At the time of writing, it remains undetermined whether the suspect will face proceedings as an adult or a juvenile.
The circumstances that precipitated the shooting arresting a teen have not been revealed to the public.
