
Chaos erupted on N. High Street yesterday evening as shots rang out, leaving residents on edge. According to a media release from the Columbus Police Department, the gunfire was reported at approximately 6:18 p.m. yesterday in the 1500 block of N. High Street. In the fray, one individual sustained a minor injury from a bullet fragment and was subsequently treated at a local hospital. Additionally, a vehicle with occupants inside was struck by a stray bullet; however, none of the occupants were injured.
As the Columbus Police investigate the incident, they seek information from the public. Detective Shotwell, #2379 of the Columbus Police Felony Assault unit, spearheads the call for tips and aid in apprehending a suspect. The police have made no arrests thus far, and the motive behind the shooting remains murky.
