
In the early hours of yesterday, a fatal traffic accident claimed the life of a woman on Interstate 270, according to the Columbus police department. The collision occurred when Taquajah Page, driving a 2017 black Mazda 6, attempted to cross into the emergency vehicle turnaround area to head north, as reported by the Columbus Division of Police. Her vehicle was subsequently hit by another car traveling in the left lane.
First responders from Columbus Fire pronounced Page deceased at the scene at around 2:37 am, which was shortly after the impact. The other driver was unharmed, but two passengers needed medical attention and were transported to a local hospital. Expected to survive, the passengers, who have not yet been named, are continuing to receive care for their injuries sustained in the collision.
