In a tragic incident reported early Wednesday, paramedics rushed to a Fineview home following a distressing call about an unresponsive infant. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety release, the emergency services received the call just before 7:20 a.m. They arrived at the residence located on the 1700 block of Belleau Drive to find a two-month-old girl in her crib without signs of life.
First responders tried to save the young child by performing CPR. Despite their efforts, she was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the infant's untimely death, with detectives from the Violent Crime Unit diligently working on the case.
