According to a press release, officers responded to the report of the crime on Saturday, August 31, after the incident took place at around 11:18 am.

The preliminary investigation by the police revealed a situation wherein a female suspect allegedly approached the victim and threatened her with a firearm. The victim, who was conducting a transaction at the ATM, was ordered by the suspect to "Put all the money inside the bag or I’ll shoot," as recounted by the official press release. Fear-struck, the victim escaped to the safety of a nearby bank, followed shortly by the suspect, who later fled the scene.

The suspect has been described as a Black female adult, approximately sixty years old with a medium build and reddish-orange curly hair. She was last seen wearing a light blue tank top, shorts, and sunglasses, and was carrying a purse or bag, possibly containing the black firearm used in the confrontation.
