
A member of the Dallas Police Department has been taken into custody on charges relating to the sexual assault of a child. Officer Brennon Wilkinson was arrested on Monday by the Arlington Police Department with charges that include Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first-degree felony; Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact, a second-degree felony; and Indecency with a Child – Exposure, a third-degree felony.
According to the Dallas Police Department, Wilkinson has been with the department since January 2020 and was assigned to the North Central Patrol Division at the time of his arrest. The Dallas PD has placed Wilkinson on administrative leave, further actions are to be determined following the outcome of an Internal Affairs administrative investigation. Meanwhile, the officer remains in custody as the legal process takes its due course.
