Following a fatal shooting in Delaware County yesterday early morning, an arrest warrant has been issued for 22-year-old Bruno Vasquez Munguia, suspected to be involved in the incident. According to WBNS, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office has not specified the charges but has advised that Munguia may be in the Columbus area or possibly Indiana and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a house on Norton-Waldo Road in Marlboro Township, where deputies, responding to reports of shots fired, found a male victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The sheriff's office, as stated by NBC4i, has detained several people at the scene, and charges are "anticipated" following the shooting. They also believe that other possible persons of interest might have fled the scene before their arrival.
The identity of the deceased has not been released as the investigation is ongoing. Details surrounding the fatal event remain scant as authorities work to fill out the narrative of that early morning. Vigilance has been urged among the public, with a clear directive to not approach the suspect if seen but instead to call 911 or contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 833-2800 with any information.
In a detailing of the suspect's identification, ABC6 reported that the Delaware County Sheriff's Office is charging Munguia with murder and aggravated murder and has made it clear that no additional arrest warrants are "anticipated at this time." Cooperation with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, which is assisting in the investigation, is currently underway to ensure a thorough examination of the tragic events that transpired.
