The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation of a fatal shooting in Lincoln, which resulted in the death of a woman earlier this week. According to information obtained from the official Delaware State Police website, the incident took place on the morning of September 8, when troopers responded to a residence on the 23000 block of Deep Creek Drive following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered two gunshot victims, a 43-year-old woman named Denise Mosley and a 20-year-old man whose identity hasn't been disclosed, both were swiftly attended to by the troopers who performed lifesaving measures until emergency medical personnel arrived; Denise Mosley was subsequently hospitalized in critical condition and tragically passed away the following day, as stated in a Delaware State Police report.
The accused shooter, identified as Nicholas Mosley, reportedly fled the location immediately after the incident occurred and was later apprehended and confined at Sussex Correctional Institution, with updated charges expected to be filed following the death of Denise Mosley.
