The Delray Beach Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying two male suspects linked to a shooting that injured two women. The incident, which took place on September 13 at the Village Square Apartments at approximately 3:10 p.m., has prompted a search for these individuals who were also spotted in the surrounding apartment complexes that day, namely the Village at Delray and Auburn Trace. According to a statement from the police, the suspects' presence was not just isolated to the area of the crime but spread across these locales.
Investigators have released video footage and photos of the suspects, urging the public to closely scrutinize the pair, one of whom wore a mask, obscuring his facial features. The authorities are asking witnesses to note the distinctive elements of their attire and gait. While the suspects’ faces may be concealed, these details could be crucial in their identification. The police department conveyed, "We need your help to identify the suspects involved. Please take a close look at the video footage and photos."
Given the lack of clarity on whether the suspects had a getaway vehicle, the police are keen on any information regarding their movements post-shooting. Detective Tysen Sargent, who is leading the investigation, can be contacted at 561-243-7780 by anyone with potential leads or observations. The department has emphasized that even seemingly minor details may be the linchpin in resolving this violent episode.
In their outreach, the officials have articulated a community-centric appeal, echoing the sentiment that collective vigilance can be transformative. "If you recognize them or saw anything unusual, we urge you to come forward," expressed the police, underscoring the role that public participation plays in the tapestry of public safety.
