Two individuals faced judgment for their actions in a Warren dispensary robbery and shooting last year, resulting in felony convictions for both parties involved. Lavall Perkins, 64, from Detroit, and Michael Graham, 48, from Eastpointe, found themselves on the guilty end of a jury's decision, as reported by The Detroit News. The convictions include assault with intent to murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and armed robbery, all of which carry life felony charges.

It was during the early hours of June 9, 2023, according to FOX 2 Detroit, when the duo created a disturbance outside the Bring Me A Bag dispensary. An accomplice of Perkins discharged a firearm through the dispensary's glass door, injuring a security guard. Subsequently, the shooter unlocked the door and fired again as the security guard retreated. Perkins then entered with an accomplice, and together they pilfered the safe after which they fled in a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Graham.

The eight-day trial concluded with the jury returning a guilty verdict on all charges for both defendants. "These convictions affirm our community's commitment to holding those who commit violent crimes accountable", Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido stated, as per FOX 2 Detroit. "The jury's decision reflects the strength of the evidence and the courage of the victims who came forward. We hope this verdict brings some measure of closure to those affected by this senseless act of violence," he continued.

Sentencing for Perkins and Graham is slated for Oct. 16, where they face the potential of life behind bars. The case, unfolding in Macomb County Circuit Court, illustrates the consequences of a life of crime and the judiciary's unwavering stance on such acts of violence that irrevocably alter the lives involved.
