Residents of Euless and adjacent communities will have a chance to provide a forever home to pets in need this September. A collaborative event hosted by Trinity High School’s Girls Awareness Program and the Euless Animal Shelter aims to find homes for dogs and cats up for adoption. As reported, the event will take place at the Parks at Texas Star, located at 951 Highland Drive, on Saturday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During the event, attendees can adopt pets for a nominal fee, helping to address the overpopulation in shelters and giving these animals a second chance. In addition to the adoption drive, there will be various items on sale including Trinity High School's GAP T-shirts, and pet accessories like collars, and toys. Proceeds from these sales will directly benefit the shelter.
This adoption and fundraising event isn't just about finding new homes for pets. It's also about supporting a cause that goes beyond the day's activities, according to the City of Euless. By purchasing merchandise, visitors contribute to the ongoing care and resources needed to keep the animals healthy and safe until they are placed in their new homes.
Organizer Steffenie Vela encourages community members to get involved and embrace the opportunity to make a difference. For more information about the event, interested individuals can reach out through email at [email protected] or by calling 817-689-4740.
