For those intrigued by wildlife and urban coexistence, a must-attend event is coming soon. On October 10, Lewisville City Hall will host "Coyote Coexistence: Living in Harmony with America’s Song Dog," presented by renowned wildlife photographers and coyote experts Karin and Roberto Saucedo. This free event, starting at 6 p.m., promises an in-depth look into the life and behaviors of coyotes, often referred to as America’s "song dogs," and how they adapt to urban environments, according to the City of Lewisville.
With limited seating for just 50 attendees, this session is a golden opportunity to debunk myths about coyotes and gain a better understanding of how they survive in human-dominated landscapes. The Saucedos will provide crucial insights into how these adaptable creatures can coexist with us, offering valuable knowledge for anyone interested in living harmoniously with wildlife.
Karin Saucedo, a Texas State Coordinator for Project Coyote and a Texas Master Naturalist, has dedicated her career to educating the public on wildlife conservation. Her husband Roberto, with eight years of documenting coyote behavior, serves on the Advisory Committee for Texas Native Cats. Together, they form a powerhouse duo in conservation, making this event a must for wildlife enthusiasts.
