Providing details of the driver involved, the semi-truck operator, a 59-year-old Texas man, did not sustain injuries during the crash and is presently cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, as reported by FOX6 News. The incident occurred at a time when Layton Avenue was being used as a detour route due to the I-894 eastbound freeway closure.
Following the accident, West Layton Avenue was initially closed between South 108th Street and South 92nd Street but has since been reopened to eastbound traffic.
