Alongside the grant, the Port of Cleveland oversees a $65 million stabilization project, due for completion in 2025, which is crucial for laying the groundwork for the park. Spanning 25 acres, the park promises to connect the community to over 125 miles of trails and green spaces, forming a much-anticipated link between Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River. Working concurrently, Cleveland Metroparks aims to complete the last stretch of the Lake Link Trail through the future Irishtown Bend Park, as noted by Cleveland19.
