The Fort Worth Fire Department is taking community engagement to new heights as they gear up to make appearances at over 250 different events for this year's #NationalNightOut. On October 1st, the department will disperse the city to connect with residents and celebrate community solidarity against crime. Eager to include the broader community in their efforts, the fire department calls on locals to capture the moments and share their photos, enhancing the collective narrative of a united city.
In a recent Facebook post, the Fort Worth Fire Department expressed that their media team can't possibly cover all the ground themselves. It implored residents to take part by sending photos with the hashtag #fwfd. They also encouraged participants to mention their neighborhood in the DM and, where possible, indicate if the neighborhood can be tagged in the photos. "We look forward to seeing y'all out there Tuesday night," the fire department stated, underscoring the anticipated camaraderie.
National Night Out is an annual event that fosters community bonds and strives to heighten crime prevention awareness. The initiative, which spans towns and cities across the country, often features various neighborhood events like block parties, cookouts, and workshops with local emergency services.
