Fort Worth's streets are set to become notably cleaner thanks to the introduction of 12 new street sweepers, which made an eye-catching debut at Old City Hall on Tuesday. In a move designed to address litter and enhance urban cleanliness, the city has rolled out this fleet with an emphasis on environmental upkeep for the major streets.
During the sweepers' inaugural showcase, city officials and employees congregated to welcome this enhancement in municipal services. Yet, the addition of these machines brings with it a touch of community engagement; residents have been invited to partake in a contest to name each of the 12 new sweepers. Suggestive of a drive to foster a sense of communal investment and belonging, ideas for names are being accepted through an online submission process until the end of September.
