Fort Worth's journey through the college admissions landscape just got a road map in the form of the La Gran Biblioteca's second annual College Fair. According to the City of Fort Worth, this year's fair promises to shed light on higher education options ranging from universities to trade schools. Slated for September 21, the fair runs between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth's main stage.
One of the fair's key features is its offering of candid insights into various aspects of college life, including clubs, programs, and much more. For those unsure about where to head after high school, representatives from an assortment of educational institutions will be there, guiding admissions, and financial aid, as well as catering to the needs of traditional, nontraditional, and transfer students.
Focused on connecting students to their collegiate aspirations, the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation is stepping up to empower local high school students with its LaunchPad program. This initiative is described as a ladder, enabling students to climb the typically daunting heights of college applications and scholarship searches. LaunchPad's benefits and workings will be showcased in an informational session at the Golden Triangle Branch Library on September 25 at 5:30 p.m.
