Following a grim discovery in an Enid cellar, four individuals are facing murder charges. Enid Police, who have been investigating since last week, have arrested Heaven Jordan, Charles Jordan, Victor Battelo, and Devin Harris, according to FOX 25. Investigators believe the remains belong to Colby Sheppard, who has been missing since late December. Court documents suggest Heaven Jordan lured Sheppard, who was allegedly assaulted for 10 to 15 minutes before having his throat cut.
Notably, the motivation behind this violent act may involve the unresolved disappearance of Kendra Battelo, Sheppard’s girlfriend, as News On 6 reports. The connection, as detailed in the court documents, indicates that the accused sought answers about her whereabouts. It was after Sheppard was tied up with an electrical cord and beaten that his throat was cut, said the witnesses.
The grieving family has described the violence as cruel and inhumane, expressing their determination for justice in a statement to KFOR. Further investigations led to the arrest of the four suspects after an inmate tipped off authorities, claiming Charles Jordan tried to hire him to move the body from the storm cellar
Cass Raines with the Enid Police Department emphasized that while arrests have been made, "the investigation continues and is always ongoing, and then the chance of further arrest is entirely possible," he told FOX 25.
