Akron police are currently investigating a shooting incident that unfolded at the Park Lane Manor Apartments on Clifford Avenue, where three individuals were shot, and a fourth was injured in the aftermath. According to information provided by Cleveland19 News, the emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 10 p.m. yesterday.
A 53-year-old man was located by officers in the parking lot, sustaining a leg wound inflicted by a gunshot. Misplaced in the chaos, he was transported to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center by EMS, according to the police report. Following later investigations, it was discovered that three additional victims had independently taken themselves to Summa Health Akron City Hospital. Two women, aged 19 and 45, suffered gunshot wounds, while a 43-year-old woman was trampled, as relayed by authorities.
WKYC reports that the condition of the victims is non-life-threatening, and all are considered stable after hospitalization. In the frantic movement of the crowd when the shots erupted, the trampled woman suffered harm at the hands of a discernible panic that coursed through the crowd.
