The Garland Municipal Court is extending a hand to those with outstanding warrants by hosting a Warrant Resolution Drive from September 30 to October 4. To encourage individuals to clear their records, the court is providing incentives to appear in person at the clerk's window. As noted in the City of Garland, the benefits of this initiative include the waiver of a $50 warrant fee for each active warrant during this period.
On top of waiving fees, the court is making it easier to quickly resolve warrants. According to the City of Garland, those who settle their warrants in full during the event will receive an additional 20% discount on the fine amount. However, this discount does not cover court costs and fees. The window for speaking directly with a judge falls on October 4, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Located at 1791 W. Avenue B, the Brad Neighbor Municipal Court welcomes various forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, or money orders. Recognizing that not all fines and costs can be paid immediately, the court offers alternative methods to satisfy outstanding debts.
