According to Goodyear Police Department reports, officers arrested 24-year-old Jeremiah Barnes on Thursday, following allegations of an aggravated assault involving a firearm. The incident reportedly occurred the previous evening on the 15900 block of West McDowell Road. It is said that Barnes pointed a gun at multiple individuals, prompting immediate law enforcement action.
Upon receiving calls about the incident on Wednesday, officers were quick to secure the area and initiate an expansive search. This search extended into the following day as they sought to locate Barnes, who had managed to evade initial capture. The Goodyear Police Department's Special Assignments Unit eventually apprehended the suspect, transitioning him from the streets to the confines of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
