According to a report by FOX17, the man was discovered deceased inside a car on the city's west side. The Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) is working on the case, pulling in their Major Case Team to handle the investigation.
A passerby, whose morning routine was upended by a chilling sight, first noticed the victim while walking on Fremont Avenue near 12th Street. The individual called 911 around 8 a.m. after seeing the man with blood on him sitting in the driver's seat of a parked car, per information obtained by WOODTV. Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the man dead on the spot. At the time of this report, little is known to the public about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, or the identity of the man whose life was cut short.
