A car struck the brick exterior of a Troy home on the night of Oct. 22, leaving a hole in the wall. No one was injured, and the driver and people inside the home were able to leave on their own, The Detroit News reported, citing a Troy Fire Department social media post.
Firefighters shut off utilities at the residence, and Troy crews worked with A&M Towing to remove the car, according to the report. Police, firefighters and other first responders also attended. The account does not explain what led to the collision or provide further details about the home’s damage.
A separate collision in Holly
A different vehicle-into-home crash was reported in Holly on Nov. 19. An SUV entered a home after a collision at Hickory Ridge and Rose Center Roads, WDIV ClickOnDetroit reported.
The Holly crash is a comparison, not evidence of a trend or an explanation for the Troy incident. The circumstances leading to the Troy collision remain unclear in the reporting cited here.
