The Gwinnett County Police Foundation, in collaboration with the Gwinnett Police Motors Unit, is revving up to host its inaugural Peach State Motorcycle Rodeo. As reported by the Gwinnett County website, this event promises to be more than just a display of motorcycle prowess; it is a convergence of officers from across the nation and beyond, stretching even to Brazil, all gathered to train and sharpen their riding skills.
During September 4-7, officers will get the chance to navigate a series of courses with names as evocative as Toot Suite and King Cowboy, and to demonstrate their mastery in challenges like the Peach Brawl or the Slow Race. This seminar is set to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at Coolray Field, beckoning the public to come and support their favorite riders or police departments. The community engagement is not only encouraged but also integral, as this family-friendly event will be woven into the fabric of the Gwinnett County Public Safety Fall Festival.
Among the array of skill-testing courses, officers are gearing up for competitions such as the Last Man Standing and the speed-centric course designed to test their limits and prowess. The event culminates on Saturday with a Fall Festival that promises ample activities perfect for family enjoyment. This day will kick off with an Opening Ceremony at 9:00 a.m., launching the final rounds of competition.
The Peach State Motorcycle Rodeo is positioned not just as a seminar but as an opportunity for public engagement and an exhibition of police motorcycling skills. The organizers hope to attract large crowds to Coolray Field, located at 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, GA. Full details and schedules can be found by visiting the Gwinnett County official site. With the blend of serious training and community fun, the first annual Peach State Motorcycle Rodeo is set to actually become a staple event in Gwinnett County's calendar.
