Haas Automation Set to Double Production Capacity with New 2.4 Million Sq Ft Site in HendersonSource: City of Henderson

The City of Henderson gears up for a substantial boost in its manufacturing capabilities as Haas Automation embarks on building a sprawling 2.4-million-square-foot production site this fall, aimed at doubling down on the company's output capacity to satiate the rising consumer demand for its CNC machine tools, according to the news release from the City of Henderson.

"Haas is such a great fit for Henderson on so many levels. They will create quality jobs in our community at a livable wage, contributing immensely to our economic diversification,” Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero revealed in the city's announcement. The city has reinforced its commitment to strengthening the manufacturing sector by partnering with the College of Southern Nevada to establish the Center of Excellence. This institution is designed to prepare a skilled workforce for the challenges presented by companies like Haas Automation.

Groundwork for Haas Automation's factory initiative commenced back in 2020; since then, the enterprise has made strides in laying down the requisite underground infrastructure, mastering the terrain with grading work across the yet-to-be-developed 280-acre site which is located in West Henderson, charting a path toward an advanced hub for manufacturing in Southern Nevada with a projected completion year of 2026.

Robert Murray, General Manager of Haas Automation, expressed the company's enthusiasm for beginning construction and becoming an integral part of the Henderson community. He highlighted the potential for new job opportunities that the project will bring to the region. Haas Automation's connection to Henderson is longstanding, with the Gene Haas Foundation having a history of supporting local non-profits in Southern Nevada, showcasing a blend of corporate growth and community engagement.
