Harris County law enforcement officials have apprehended a woman on charges linked to sex trafficking involving a juvenile. According to a statement by the Precinct 4 Constable's Office, Erica Adams was taken into custody after a juvenile, who had been missing since September 11, made an outcry of sexual exploitation following their return home on Thursday.

Investigation by Constable Mark Herman's Criminal Investigations Division revealed that the juvenile spent the time away at a hotel on Kuykendahl Rd where they were forced into prostitution by several adults, including Adams. Found while investigators were speaking to hotel management in a bid to gather evidence to support the juvenile's allegations, she arrived on scene and was arrested immediately. The suspect admitted her involvement, having transported the juvenile to various locations to engage in prostitution with adult males.

Adams is currently being held at the Harris County Jail. She faces charges of Trafficking a Child Engaging in Sexual Conduct, with her bond yet to be determined by the 184th District Court. As the case unfolds, officials have urged the public to report suspected cases of prostitution or human trafficking.  "If you suspect a location of prostitution and or Human Trafficking, please contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472 or on-line at www.constablepct4.com/regulatory-enforcement-unit. All complaints or tips can be made anonymously,” Constable Mark Herman appealed, as per the constable's office statement.
