Early Monday morning, Oklahoma City became the center of a high-speed chase that concluded with a truck crashing into a building in the city's southwest corridor. A security guard at Riversport OKC was allegedly shot at by a group that fled the scene, igniting the pursuit that ended on Southwest 29th Street and South Western Avenue. According to News 9, four individuals were apprehended following the incident, all believed to be juveniles.
Oklahoma City Police Department officials say that after locating the vehicle near Southwest 15th Street and South Robinson Avenue, the police followed the suspects until the driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into an establishment's façade, specifically Carnitas El Patron, a restaurant in the vicinity. As per a report by Oklahoma's News 4, three of the occupants were taken into custody post-crash and are being held at a juvenile detention facility. The search for a fourth suspect, believed to be the driver, is still active.
Following the arrest of the four juveniles, the Oklahoma City Police Department recovered a firearm inside the crashed vehicle, adding a layer of concern to the already charged episode. The owner of the impacted business revealed that no one sustained injuries in the wake of the crash, despite the property damage. The establishment's surveillance was unfortunately not active during the incident, a detail noted by News 9.
