As the bell rings in another scholastic chapter, Hillsboro Public Library is rich with resources to ensure students kick off their academic year on solid ground. At no charge with a library card, students from kindergarten up to high school can plunge into a sea of books and tap into online resources that promise to bolster their educational journey. Among these tools is the lauded Brainfuse HelpNow service, which brings homework help and a suite of study aids directly to students' screens.
As reported by the Hillsboro Public Library announcement, Brainfuse HelpNow allows students to connect with live tutors from 1 to 10 pm daily, holidays excepted and offers a range of practice tests for the likes of the PSAT, SAT, and ACT. "Brainfuse is the study and learning tool I wish I could have used as a student! It would have saved me so much time, and it's easy to use and navigate," said Kate Whitman, Student Success Librarian. She tried their live tutoring and found the assistance to be "quick, friendly, and well-researched."
It's not only the digital resources turning heads. Hillsboro Public Library's Shute Park and Brookwood brim with public computers and accessible WiFi – both staples for today's learning environment. Not just for bookworms, these libraries also offer Chromebooks and WiFi Hot Spots, ready to be checked out with a library card, ensuring students can maintain a steady connection to their studies, wherever they may be.
Tech support extends beyond mere connectivity. Shute Park Library opens its doors every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, to offer tech help on a walk-in basis, regardless of your scholastic stance. Starting in late September, Digital Navigators will also plant themselves at Shute Park twice a week, prepared to coach anyone through the digital thicket – from setting up an email to mastering the latest software. Clearly, whether it’s zeroing in on quantum physics homework or decoding a tablet’s stubborn interface, help is on hand.
