Tragedy struck Milwaukee's far northwest side near 76th and Good Hope Road when a hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 20-year-old and injured another on a late Saturday night. TMJ4 reported that the two individuals were crossing 76th St. when a vehicle, traveling northbound, hit them. The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed the apprehension of the 34-year-old driver after the vehicle was located.
An hour subsequent to the fatal accident, as if the street had not witnessed enough, a 32-year-old was shot at the same location and required immediate medical attention. According to WISN, the victim was rushed to the hospital and is yet to be identified.
The spate of violence did not stop there; another shooting took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving a 38-year-old person injured. This separate incident occurred shortly after the first shooting, adding to a convalescing night in Milwaukee. FOX6 News shared that the individual suffered non-fatal injuries, with authorities asking anyone with information to step forward.
The consecutive nature of these harrowing incidents—a deadly hit-and-run and the shootings of two individuals—has prompted an investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department.
