In a recent turn of events, Houston-area law enforcement officials successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and apprehended a suspect, according to an announcement made by Constable Mark Herman's office. The Constable's Special Operations Unit initiated a traffic stop on Friday, which led to the discovery of the stolen vehicle. The location was pinpointed to the 13000 block of Kuykendahl Road, where the suspect, identified as Deiontae Mcwhorter, was detained.
Digging deeper into the circumstances surrounding the arrest, it was revealed that Mcwhorter was already on the radar for previous legal troubles, with an existing warrant out for a probation violation related to a theft charge. The traffic stop, therefore, escalated into a more serious legal bind for him.
In a statement detailed on Constable Herman's official Facebook page, the law enforcement officer stated, “Deiontae Mcwhorter was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his probation violation warrant and additional charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. His total bond was set at $6,000.00 out of the 262nd District Court."
