Early Saturday morning, a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Aurelio Campos Renovato. The incident occurred at 300 Hoffman Street around 2:20 a.m., according to details released by the Houston Police Department. Houston police are now thoroughly looking to investigate the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
Per the official report, Mr. Renovato was in control of a blue Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck, heading northbound before tragically losing control and colliding with a culvert. The force of the impact left the vehicle resting on its left side, and Renovato was found partially ejected from the truck. He did not survive the crash. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer J. Best are to lead the ongoing investigation.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and there was no immediate speculation regarding the cause. Houston Fire Department paramedics promptly responded to the scene, only to pronounce Renovato deceased, as stated in the information obtained by the City of Houston news release. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Renovato have not been publicly shared at this time. His identity was released following verification by authorities.
